How to use the font generator
Type in the box and every style updates instantly. Tap a row to copy it, then paste it into your Instagram bio, a Discord or game name, a caption or a chat. Tap โ to pin your favorite styles to the top. Your text and favorites stay in this browser.
How fancy fonts work (they are not really fonts)
Bios and usernames do not let you choose a font. This generator swaps each letter for a different Unicode character that looks styled. ๐, for example, is not a bold A but โMathematical Bold Capital Aโ (U+1D400), one of the alphabets Unicode includes for math notation. Bold, italic, script, Fraktur, double-struck, sans-serif and monospace alphabets come from that block; bubble letters, squares and fullwidth text come from other symbol blocks.
Strikethrough and underline add combining marks (U+0336, U+0332) after each character, so they work on any language, though the line may sit slightly off in some fonts.
Where fancy text works โ and where it breaks
Recent iPhones, Android phones, Windows and macOS display most styles. Older devices, some games and some apps may show empty boxes for characters their fonts lack. A few letters such as ๐ ฐ ๐ ฑ ๐ พ ๐ ฟ double as emoji and may appear as red emoji icons. Some services also block or normalize special characters in usernames.
Accessibility and search
Screen readers may skip styled letters or read them one by one (โmathematical bold capital Bโ), which makes a fully styled bio hard to follow for blind and low-vision readers. Styled words also do not match normal search, so they are a poor choice for hashtags or names people need to find. Use fancy text for a word or two of emphasis, not whole sentences.
FAQ
Can I use these fonts on Instagram?
Yes, in your name, bio, captions and comments in most cases. Your @username only allows plain letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so styled characters cannot be used there.
Why do some letters look like boxes?
The device viewing the text has no font for that character. Bubble and fullwidth styles use older characters and are the safest choice for older devices.
Why are some letters not converted?
Some Unicode alphabets are incomplete. For example, there is no superscript q and no italic digits, so those characters stay as they are.
Does it work with Korean, Japanese or other scripts?
The font styles only exist for Latin letters and digits. Decorations such as strikethrough, underline, hearts between letters and bracket frames work with any script.
Should I use fancy text in hashtags?
No. Styled characters are different code points from normal letters, so the hashtag will not match what people search for.
